247 - The official Global Government Affairs account of X, in a post on Thursday night (29), after the deadline for the company of far-right billionaire Elon Musk to appoint a legal representative in Brazil, stated that the platform now expects to be blocked in the country.

X insists on not complying with the orders of Minister Alexandre de Moraes of the Supreme Federal Court (STF) against those under investigation for coup acts. "We are absolutely not insisting that other countries have the same free speech laws as the United States. The fundamental issue at play here is that Minister Alexandre de Moraes is demanding that we violate Brazil's own laws. We simply will not do that," the post says.

X also promised to disclose the processes it considers "illegal." The platform further claims to protect "freedom of speech": "In the coming days, we will publish all of Minister's illegal demands and all related court documents for the sake of transparency. Unlike other social media and tech platforms, we will not comply with illegal orders in secrecy."
