247 - By decision of the Supreme Federal Court (STF), Starlink, the satellite broadband company of far-right billionaire Elon Musk, had its bank accounts and financial assets frozen "through an official notice to the CENTRAL BANK OF BRAZIL, and official communication to the CVM," according to a document from the Court’s Judiciary Secretariat this Tuesday (3).

The decision also prevents the Central Bank from authorizing remittances, "receipt, transfer, or sending of money or funds abroad" concerning Starlink. According to the statement, the deadline for the company to file an appeal with the Court expired on Monday (2).

On Monday, Starlink announced on social media that it would comply with the Supreme Court’s decision to block access to the social network X in Brazil, despite previously stating it would not follow the order. The blocking decision was issued by Minister Alexandre de Moraes due to non-compliance with court orders by the social network X.
