247 – Invited on Monday (9) to take the position of Minister of Human Rights and Citizenship, state deputy Macaé Evaristo (PT) stated that "this is a call of great responsibility."

In a post on Instagram, the new minister spoke for the first time after the nomination.

"It is with great honor that I accepted, this Monday, the invitation from President Lula to take over the Ministry of Human Rights and Citizenship," she wrote. "Our country has great challenges, and this is a call of great responsibility. We have a lot of work ahead, and I remain hopeful, with a lifelong commitment to the fight for rights."
