Lula Mocks Bolsonaro's Indictment for Jewelry Theft and Sends a Message

247 - President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva mocked on Friday (5th) the indictment of Jair Bolsonaro for the illegal sale of Arab jewelry belonging to the Brazilian state and sent a message to the former occupant of the Palácio do Planalto.

"Lula is the people in the presidency, otherwise it wouldn't make sense for me to be president. For what? To receive a precious stone necklace?" Lula questioned during a visit to the Quarteirão da Educação construction site in Diadema (SP). "Governing is about taking care," the president added.

Lula also warned against global polarization: "The political world has changed, things are more polarized, in Brazil and around the world, also in France."
