The measure was supported by President Lula, while the pro-Bolsonaro opposition reacted angrily, threatening to file an impeachment request against the minister.

However, this decision rests with Senate President Rodrigo Pacheco, who made a point of attending the parade in Brasília alongside other federal authorities and the minister in a gesture of support.
